Species Inventory Database of Chinese Animals
DescriptionThe construction of Species Inventory Database of Chinese Animals was begun from 1992 when launching of the key project of CAS - the study of biological fundamentals of biodiversity in China. Up to now, there are more than 19,000 record of species or subspecies in the database.
The content of a record of species consists of order name, family name, scientific name, author, literature, type specimen, English name, habitat, altitude, distribution in China and abroad, synonyms. One could search data in the database by keyword of name, habitat or distribution in China.
