ENTOMOLOGIA SINICA is an entomological journal in English for pubilshing original papers from the members of the Entomological Society of China and their associates in all fields of research in insects and other terrestrial arthropods. The main emphasis of the publication is on original research papers. In addition, reviews, minireviews and short comunications about new records and observation are included. Book reviews and information about academic activities of the Society are also published.The Entomologia Sinica is indexed and abstracted in CAB Database, Biosis Database, Entomolgical Abstracts and Zoological Record.

INTRODUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS
1. Submission Guidelines
The ENTOMOLOGIA SINICA in English is the official journal of the Entomological Society of China. The journal publishes mainly original research papers concerning insects and other terrestrial arthropods. Reviews, mini reviews and short communications about new records and observation are also accepted if relevant. News and information concerning publications and academic activities of the Society are also appropriate for publication.
A declaration letter must be signed by the author and submitted with the manuscript, indicating that the paper is based on original research and has not been published elsewhere, and the author accepts the condition that the editorial owns the copyright of the paper published.
The editors assume no responsibility for the statements expressed by the author.
2. Form of Manuscript
2.1 Title page
The title page should include manuscript title; names of authors; address(es) of where the research was conducted and if different, all current addresses of the authors; key words not more than six and a short running head of not more than 40 letters; the name, address, telephone and fax number and e-mail where correspondence should be send.
2.2 Abstract
This should be a brief summary of the contents a conclusion of the paper, not more than 200 words. A Chinese abstract, less than 300 Chinese characters, with title, authors' names and addresses is required for Chinese authors and it will be prepared by the editorial office for the accepted papers written by foreign authors.
2.3 Text
Manuscript should be typewritten in English, with double spacing and with wide margins. The original copy and two duplicates are required. Body of the text should include following parts: Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results; Discussions, and Acknowledgements.
Words to be italicized should be underlined and footnote should be avoided. Written style should be concise, full length paper with all illustrations not more than 10 pages. Indent the first line of all paragraphs in the text. The following format guideline should be followed.
2.4 Illustrations
All figures (monochrome photographs, graphs, diagrams) should accompany the manuscript , but not be inserted in the text. They should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are referred to in the text. Diagrams, graphs and charts should be drawn boldly in black ink on good quality white paper or card. Lettering to appear on the illustrations should be of sufficient size to allow for considerable reduction where necessary. Scales must be indicated in micro graphs, not be magnification in the legends. Illustration and their mountings must not exceed 18 กม25cm. Lengths for figures should he typed on a separate sheet.
2.5 Table
They should be numbered and typed on separate sheet, each provided with an explanatory caption and each column should carry an appropriate heading. Units of measure should be indicated clearly. All tables must be referred in the text.
2.6 References
They should include only publications cited in the text and be in alphabetical order, each detailed in the following order: authors' names and initials, date of publication. title, name of the Journal abbreviated in the World List of Scientific Periodicals (4th ed. 1963) .the volume and the first and last pages of the article. For example:

In the text, references should be as Smith ( 1998 ) , (Smith 1998), Smith (1992, 1998), Smith and Stone (1998) , (Smith and Stone 1998). When a citation includes more than two authors, the paper should be referred in the text as Masaki et al. (1996), (Masaki et al. 1996). If papers by the same authors in the same year are cited, they should be distinguished by the letters a , b, c, etc.
Manuscripts The original manuscripts plus two copies should be submitted to the editorial office. All manuscripts received are acknowledged promptly and the accepted for regular publication are published in the approximate order of their receipt in acceptable form. If unaccepted. the entire manuscript will be mailed back to the author in due time.
Reprints 30 reprints of each paper are provided free to the author or major author of each paper.
