codes of the Chinese fauna - Vertebrates, was published in June 21, 1995 by the National
Bureau of Technical Supervision and implemented from February 1, 1996.

Eighth-Five-Year Plan key project of CAS. It contains basic information of more than
10,000 species or subspecies.

information about papers, books, monographs and proceedings on biodiversity
study in China. Up to now, there are more than 5000 records in the database.

The Database of Expert on Biodiversity Study in
China (Referring to Zoology Study) includes detail information of Scientists and
Experts working on biodiversity study in China. Up to now, there are more than
500 records of scientists working on systematics, Ecology, genetics in the
database.

The Database of Medicinal Animal in China includes
more than 300 records of medicinal information of animals distributed
in northern China, their medical function and characters.

FAUNA SINICA (in

Fauna Sinica is a series of monograph about fauna in China. The publication of it is a
system engineering to clarify the animal resources in China. The editorial board of Fauna
Sinica has organized more than 600 zoologist from 104 universities and institutes to
compile them since 1960s.

The national standard of the People's Republic of China - GB/T 15628.1-1995, Taxonomic codes of the Chinese fauna - Vertebrates, was published in June 21, 1995 by the National Bureau of Technical Supervision and implemented from February 1, 1996.
The zoological division provides the disk duplication service for Taxonomic codes of the
Chinese fauna - Vertebrates.
The division will collaborate with zoologists and experts
in other departments in the institute to provide information consultation in many field,
for example, scientific data and knowledge of zoology and relevant sciences, information
about biodiversity information sources in or out of China, technology of data processing
