Entrance of Data Query
Description
The Endangered and Protected Species Database of Chinese Animals is one of outputs of the Eighth-Five-Year Plan key project of CAS. After data updated and supplemented, up to now, it contains basic information of more than 600 endangered animal species or subspecies in China.
The content of a record of protected animal consists of species code (national standard), scientific name, English name, Chinese name, category in State Key Protected Wildlife List, IUCN (1986), CITES Appendices, China Red Data Book of Endangered Animals, threats to survival, conservation measures, photos, etc.
One could search data in the database by name or by the category of China State Key Protected Wildlife List, or by the combination of them.
Inputting keyword into relevant box then press 'search' button. For example, typing 'monkey' into 'Name' box then click 'search' button, records referring MONKEY will be listed in the next screen.
